We’re currently hiring a trainee design technician as a full time, entry level role.
A Design Technician must engineer and document whole house smart control and entertainment solutions, using software such as D-Tools, Visio and AutoCAD to produce high quality technical and wiring documentation.

The successful candidate will have creative thinking, superb computer literacy and a technical background (in education or work experience). Industry experience is advantageous but not essential, full training will be provided as will on-going professional development. We want someone who takes great pride in their work and has the following personal skills and experience:
- System engineering: networking, automation, audio visual, home cinema, video entry
- CCTV & smart control
- CAD drawings: Including technical elevations, schematics and wiring designs
- Smart lighting control: System engineering
- Liaising with clients, architects, lighting designers and mechanical and electrical engineers
Personal attributes
Attention to detail, with an organised and methodical approach to work.
A friendly, enthusiastic and approachable nature and the initiative to work on their own. Confident and professional when dealing with clients, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience, education & training
The role depends on [advanced] computer literacy (MAC & Windows), having several years’ experience using software in a creative capacity. Familiarity with Visio, AutoCAD/other design software will be highly advantageous, as will an education in engineering or any a technical field.
